    Ok, so I just seen this game, its based on the Half-Life engine, but not sure if the engine was changed too much from the game. Was wondering if theoretically a port of this to Dreamcast would be possible.

    I am not asking anybody to do it, just wondering if it is at all possible.

    Yeah I've been thinking about this possibility. The engine itself wasn't modified at all it seems. The maps should be portable(ram issues included), no idea about the specific enemies.

    i dont personally know the game, but if i can take a look at a random map and see if there are any problematic entities, if you want to upload one

    Good finding Antony!
    I just dowloaded and played the game and what i can say that this is a good and imersive game, i like it !
    It is a very diferent experience than normal halflife.
    The engine is pure goldsource it seems that they ony modified the game logic - dlls (new enemies and weapons). As the most part of other normal hl mods.

    It is possible make a dreamcast version with the same techniques what we used on paranoia an they hunger but part of the weapons and enemies will be excluded. Only with dlls modification will be possible make a full port.

    And to make it clear, only if source code of the DLLs is available, it'd be possible. However since GC is a commercial product from a defunct company I doubt source code for the game could easily be obtained.

    Interesting nonetheless.

    Paranoia and They Hunger are the best examples of what is possible in this engine on DC. Even without dll's 2 fully working ports were done for the DC, that already shows the potential of this engine even if we never get dll's working.

    Btw Moi, any news on the SDK? I don't want to be the guy that bugs you for info every day, but I wanted to ask you for a while now.

    Also if anybody else wanted to test out the game here is the PC version on our site.

    All good, I know it is a hard thing to do, pretty difficult thing to make. How can I help you? Can I ask some coders? I can't do much, but I try to get Dreamcast coders involved in the community. I know a lot of folks, not hundreds, but many in the Dreamcast community.

    Dude, you got skills, but you need help. Please don't be shy. If you need others, ask me, and I will ask for you. You don't have to personally ask, I will ask. If you can't complete something, just let us know. I got so many friends in the DC community it isn't funny.

    You are right Moi ! I forget that we don´t have the GC dll source code !
    Anyway with dll manipulation will be possible make a more acurate and complete port and easier recreate the monters and weapons from GC pc version to a possible DC version; than edit Qc files on all models and then rename the name of monters and weapons on all maps !
