    anthony, ill try to release that at the same time as hlps, so i can use it as an example

    dream, anthony is helping <insert name here> over at dc-talk, their the ones working on the WW2 mod (probably day of defeat map and model port). im finishing hlps, re-mastering the tutorial videos and making the how-to-mod docummentation. ill leave for france soon and i dont know what kind of situation ill get there, so i want to leave all that done before i go

    Thanks, I try to do what I can, though there is still much I must learn so I can take a more active role in making my own ports for Dreamcast. I do go to many sites all over the internet to try and unite the homebrew scene as much as possible, I do give references and links to people to get them pointed in the right direction. we have a very active forum here I think you should check out, we get so many people come to me for Dreamcast advice. XD

    BananaXX from Racketboy forums was going to help with making the WW2 mod, but I haven't heard much from him, but I did get a message from somebody else that said they could write a story for the mod if we got that far. I really need to try and see if Banana is still up to the task.

    I'll message him and see whats up, I really want to get this project started.

    You can see the thread here, but last I heard from him he was having problems with opening the maps from Operation 1942. Perhaps you could help provide some info to get us started in the right direction?

    EDIT: trigger_multi gives too much gliches =S is there any way to reset a trigger_once once used?

    what im thinking is having the floor by zones. when you step zone2, it would activate camera2 and then reset zone1 (so its usable again).

    quicknote: you dont need to turn off the previous camera, when a second is used, the first goes auto-off

    i never actually used trigger_relay or env_global, im reading on it

    We did dreammatix! A RE camera on hl1. I used your trigger_relay logic into trigger_multiple zones

    quicknote: you do have to turn off the previous camera after all!

    yes it will. i've finished the doccumentation, i'll convert it to pdf and post it tomorrow, i gotta update the main page and i found many original pages from the valve-erc that i want to post!

    I'm really happy we managed to do this, i tried this so many times in the past, but dreammatix gave his view of the entity scheme we should use. This is the beauty of VHE for me, there's a plenty of ways to do the same thing and each way is unique, so you end up being able to do almoust anything in-game ^^

    Well done Divagante, you dit it !
    We can edit the button configuration on the dreamcast version, on joystick.cfg or on preset_a.cfg.
    The goldsouce engine has all funcions and requirements to do a good RE style mod, and this without change the dlls.
    They are some old resident evil hl mods on mobdb on first person, maybe the models of these mods can be used
    They are nice models on paranoia and they hunger hd-models-pak on moddb too.

    Edit - I guess that this method can be used for 2D camera too.
    Leaving the info target long away from the trigger_camera

    The pan distance is not up to the info_target but to the trigger_camera. You can also configure cameras to follow players (notice the 2nd - corridor - camera)

    Oh my God! Wow! I have been away from the internet for the past 8 days, and I come back and see this revelation! Wow! This is a grand breakthrough! What you have figured out is very impressive! I agree with Dream, you could use some RE models from RE themed HL mods on Dreamcast, and this will make many people very happy! You guys are already famous, but by making a game that is not a FPS with the Goldsource on Dreamcast will make many people in the Dreamcast community very happy! I can tell you you guys will get a lot of fans on isozone!

    I know you both have ongoing projects, 007 and HL: Ops, but it is nice to see what the future holds. Even if Moi can't get dll's to compile right away, this will be another great trick for us to use to make a different type of game!

    One simple question though, if I may, how would you target things? Or, would it just be a fixed position, like, point forward and everything in front of you gets hit?

    anthony; even using a camera, the player still is pointing as normal, and that question is adressed in the doccumentation. the solution for that is to edit the game controls. so the aiming doesnt shift vertically, or resets to middle automatically, then you just use a rather bigger target for what you want. stuff on the ground is more difficult but not impossible.

    another solution: have one key to center the camera (bind "<key>" "force_centerview")

    hi uglybuddy, long time no see!

    well, the maps in the dreamcast are the same thing as the pc version, most of the times we only edit the entities so you can fix the campaign to work on the dreamcast (thats why dream used quark for example). a map for hl1 is a map for hl:dc.

    and ill get around the mirrors as soon as possible, but possibly theres some things i lost
