Mods and Addons category at the DCF forum

In your opinion how can the category "Mods and Addons" on our forum be developed and how can the forum attract more people?

most of the other dreamcast forums (dcisozone, dream-talk, etc) don't even know about us, we can start there

This is not a good decision, as Valve may not be in favor of our work on porting their games, and it's illegal. It can cause troubles to our forum.

Exactly, I have told him this is not a good idea before. The best place to get more Half-Life modders for the Dreamcast is to look on Moddb like what we did with the best 2 mods.

in a way yes and no... it all depends on the context. if someone were to go and say (randomly, in a fitting thread) "I played this mod on a dreamcast" when someone asks, say "theres a group who makes it, I cant remember it though, but im sure if you look on those dreamcast sites, you might find the mod". etc, etc. just flatting out saying "look, were hackers, we modified a game that was never released, heres our site" is sure to get sued/taken down by gearbox (valve probably cares less). If you like, I know people from gearbox and valve, and I can ask them if they care at all, no im not going to give a site or anything, im just gonna ask him something like "I heard there was an unreleased half-life for dreamcast", continue it on from there without comprimising anything. curiosity, my friend.

no mather how you say it, what we do is still illegal, they may simply not like it. we should only try to contact them when we have a big enough community
